Ira Bornstein has spent his entire career handling complex commercial litigation with a focus on construction litigation. He has represented all parties to the construction process and has handled all aspects of construction-commercial, industrial, residential, schools, hotels, power plants and arenas. He is licensed in Colorado, Illinois and New York and is “AV” rated.

Mr. Burton has been involved in building and real estate industry for over 27 years. He holds a Class A general contractor’s license. A professional mediator since 1998, he brings a unique scientific perspective to the table.  He worked his way through college on various construction projects and as an inspector on water and sewer line construction. During his hydrogeologic consulting years, Mr. Cerrillo developed his mediation/facilitation skills while serving as a project and office manager. 

Mr. Finney has been actively involved in residential construction. He is currently an active and licensed General Contractor in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Finney also holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Mr. Finney’s comprehensive experience and passion to see disputes resolved enable him to bring expertise and positive solutions to construction problems.

David is an architect with a long history of working with teams of engineers, consultants, governing municipalities, and clients which has given him a seasoned approach to problem solving. He offers a tremendous amount of wisdom and his search for positive solutions, combined with his willingness to listen, have mitigated difficulties in the design and construction process.

Mr. Hess has been involved with residential construction since 1987. His focus has been custom homes and high end remodels with some mixed use buildings and small restaurants. He has been an expert witness and specializes in cost overruns, cost to complete and construction cost analysis.

Mr. Howes is a Colorado Licensed Architect, Real Estate Broker and holds a Class A Contractors License. Experience includes residential, commercial and industrial construction, design, design build and construction management, land acquisition, entitlements and horizontal infrastructure development. This extensive background gives him a rounded viewpoint to better comprehend issues, explore viable alternatives and winning solutions.

John formed Kurowski Development Co. in the fall of 1976 with a mission to build custom homes that are more energy efficient and environmentally conscious. As founder and president of Kurowski Development Co., John has built a wide range of high-end custom homes, priced to well over $1 million specializing in Green Construction.

Mr. Maas serves in Residential Construction Management, focusing on: Site Development, Planning/Zoning, Contractor Relations, and Construction Defects. He works with a structural warranty company, evaluating construction data. Mr. Maas serves on Planning Boards and Special District Association Boards. He developed understanding of human relationships, evaluating issues of conflict within the Mediation/Arbitration arena.

Providing opinions on remedial construction methods and standards of care issues. Also specializing in Mediation, Arbitration and Dispute Review Boards. Ms. Walker has nearly thirty years’ experience as a trial attorney in complex construction and civil matters in courts, arbitrations and mediations across the country. She handles matters involving owners, design professionals, and contractors in disputes up to $100 million in projects including: commercial, industrial, government, residential, schools, hotels and utilities. Jamie has over 30 years experience of building high-end luxury homes in the high altitude conditions of the Rocky Mountains. Jamie has personally supervised the construction process from site layout to interior trim on over 30 homes in resort areas. Jamie is also one of the earliest pioneers of the use of “Foam Block” foundations.
